Demitrius Davis
Vice President of Power Plant Operations
Demetrius Davis became vice president, power plant operations for Entergy Mississippi, in August 2022. In this capacity, he has overall responsibility for safely managing and operating Mississippi’s non-nuclear power plants.
Previously, Davis served as vice president of operations support. In that role, he was responsible for all technical and commercial support functions required to safely operate, maintain and optimize the performance of power generation’s fleet.
Davis joined the company in 2020 from Southern Nuclear. At Southern Nuclear, he was fleet outage services director, where his team was responsible for fleet outage management, reactor services, non-destructive examination services, turbine services, dry cask storage and major strategic alliances for southern nuclear. He was also responsible for establishing and maintaining governance, oversight and resolution of emerging fleet and industry issues that challenge nuclear safety, successful execution of refueling outage services activities and used fuel loading outages.
Davis holds a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering and a Master of Engineering degree in civil engineering from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He also holds a senior reactor operator certification and is a graduate of the inaugural cohort in the Entergy Power Up Leadership Program.
Davis currently serves on the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Engineering board of directors. He has also served on Girls Inc. board of directors, BWR Owners Group Refueling Performance Committee, PWR Industry Working Group Refueling Performance Committee and National Society of Black Engineers executive board.
