Leyla Goodsell serves as Entergy Mississippi’s communications manager, where she leads strategic planning of executive, internal and external communications. She joined Entergy in 2017 as a communication specialist, responsible for implementing internal communications and social media strategies.

Goodsell’s career in public relations spans across multiple industries including healthcare, nonprofit, government, higher education and energy. Prior to Entergy, she led communications and marketing teams at Johnson & Johnson, University of Alabama, and Tuscaloosa County Park & Recreation Authority. Goodsell also practiced as a visiting professor of public relations at the University of Southern Mississippi.

As a member of the Public Relations Society of America, Public Relations Association of Mississippi, and Southern Public Relations Federation, she has won several professional awards for outstanding communications campaigns, including PRism Awards, Lantern Awards and the PRSA Silver Anvil Award of Excellence.

Goodsell earned her bachelor’s degree in communication arts from Georgia Southern University and a master’s degree in public relations from The University of Southern Mississippi.
